Hi everyone,
I recently purchased an Axon board and received it today. I followed the official setup documentation carefully:
First, I connected it to a 12V Type-C power supply.
Next, I connected the Type-C 0/DP port to my monitor’s DisplayPort.
The board initially powered on, showing a constant blue light and a blinking white light. However, it quickly started to smoke from one of the ICs located just behind the Type-C 0/DP port.
Could anyone explain what might have caused this failure? Also, what are my next steps regarding troubleshooting or initiating an RMA/return?
Thanks for your help.
Many display port monitors outputs the power directly into the hardware.
Axon type-c DP port strictly is an output power port not input power port. So in this case what has happened is board did get two power inputs from different domain, type-c power port and dp port and it got IC damaged.
