Guidance Required on SDK Selection and Initial Software Setup for Vicharak Axon

We have completed the initial hardware and system setup of our Vicharak Axon device, following the Getting Started documentation.

The device is currently running Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS with 8GB RAM and the Rockchip RK3588 processor.

We are now moving towards installing the required SDKs and setting up the development environment for our AI and computer vision workloads.

Could you please guide us on the following?

Which SDK and NPU runtime are recommended for the Axon RK3588?

Are they compatible with our current Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS installation?

Is there any recommended installation guide or additional configuration required for hardware-accelerated video processing and AI inference?

Please share the recommended setup procedure and relevant documentation so we can proceed.

It has not been published yet, but we will publish it asap with proper guide.

If you want something that can be setup during first boot than you can do within existing image.

  1. Download Latest Axon image

  2. Unzip it.

  3. You will find .img image.

  4. Run below command to extract and mount partition.

    sudo losetup -fP V2.0.1_vicharak_axon_6.1_03072026-ubuntu-noble-24.04-raw.img

    lsblk

  5. You will find loop device in it.

  6. Mount 6th partition.

    sudo mount /dev/loop<Number>p6 /mnt

  7. Go to first boot script.

    sudo vim /mnt/etc/init.d/rockchip.sh

You can edit and add things that you want to setup initially.
Careful, with editing rockchip.sh file
