Hi,
I recently installed the Ubuntu 22 Server (Beta) image and noticed that in vicharak-config
, there are no options related to camera overlays.
I’m using a Raspberry Pi Camera Module V1, and previously on the desktop version, camera overlays were available.
Is this a known limitation in the server beta image?
How can I enable camera support on this version?
Would appreciate guidance on using the camera module in this setup.
Thanks!
Yes, in Beta-image, we have not provided camera overlays on it.
But you can get access to overlays. We will make it available in the kernel soon.
So, just updating the kernel, the overlay will be placed on system.

Hi Avi_Shihora,
THank you for the update.
I want to use this board as a companion computer on a drone. I would really NOT like to use the GUI, because it takes up some resources, and I would like to optimize usage as much as possible.
Do you think I will be able to get the overlays enabled on the server / non-GUI image? If yes, then do you have any ETA that you can provide.
This is something that we are really looking forward to exploring.
Thank you for all your support with this awesome product.
